Dr. Sunny Zhang received her Ph.D. in Marketing and her Master of Business from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, her M.S. in Applied Psychology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and her B.S. in Social Psychology from Jilin University. She is currently an associate professor in the Management and Marketing Department at the Cameron School of Business, University of St. Thomas, where she received the St. Thomas Aquinas Excellence in Teaching Award. Prior to joining UST, Dr. Zhang taught at the College of Business, Colorado State University, where she was honored as one of the “Beta Gamma Sigma Most Influential Faculty Members.”
Dr. Zhang has over 20 years of experience in consumer research, focusing on online marketing since 2000 and on social media since 2007. After providing marketing solutions for local businesses and organizations for nearly a decade, she founded Z LAB as an interdisciplinary platform to connect marketing research with industry practice. She believes in the magic of mentorship, empowerment, and collaboration, maximizing the collective intelligence of truly valuable talents while translating potential into success.
